Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Omni Research collects, uses, and protects information from visitors and customers.

Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly (name, email, shipping address, institution) and limited technical information automatically (IP address, browser, pages viewed) to operate the site.

How We Use Information

To process orders, ship products, verify Certificates of Analysis, respond to inquiries, and comply with legal obligations. We use analytics and advertising tools (such as Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel) that may share online identifiers with those providers. This may be considered a "sale" or "share" of personal information under California law. California residents can opt out by contacting us through the Contact page.

Sharing

We share information with service providers required to fulfill orders (payment processors, shipping carriers), with the analytics and advertising providers described in this policy, and when required by law. The above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Cookies

We use cookies for essential site functionality, age verification persistence, and aggregate analytics.

Welcome offer fraud prevention: when a signed-in customer claims our first-order welcome offer, or checks out using it, we set a first-party cookie on this site containing a randomly generated code. The cookie expires one year after it is set. It is not built from your device or browser characteristics and is not shared with advertising or analytics providers. On our servers we store only a one-way hashed version of the code, linked to your account and to whether the offer was claimed or redeemed; when you check out with the offer, that hashed code is also saved with your checkout record so the offer can be confirmed when your payment is processed. We use this solely to help prevent the welcome offer from being used repeatedly through multiple accounts. The cookie only works in the browser where it was set: clearing cookies, using a private window, or using a different browser or device will not carry it over, and our other eligibility checks still apply. If the welcome offer is refused because someone else on your device already used it and this is your first order, please contact us through our Contact Us page or at support@omniresearch.org and we will review it manually.

TikTok Advertising (Optional)

We use the TikTok pixel and the TikTok Events API to measure our TikTok ads, but only if you choose "Allow TikTok". Until you choose, or if you decline, the TikTok pixel does not load and we do not send TikTok events from our servers for your purchases. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, TikTok stays off even if you allowed it.

If you allow it, TikTok may receive: TikTok cookie and click identifiers (such as the _ttp cookie and the ttclid link parameter), your IP address and browser details (user agent), pages you view, and purchase details (order number, products, quantities and order value). We do not send your name, email, phone number or address to TikTok. TikTok uses this to measure and report on our ads; its use is also governed by TikTok's own privacy policy.

We keep a record of your choice (the notice version, your decision and when you made it) in a cookie on this site, and with each checkout so purchase reporting follows the choice you had when you checked out. Your choice lasts 180 days and then we ask again. If you withdraw your choice, TikTok browser tracking stops from then on and checkouts you start afterwards are not reported to TikTok. A purchase from a checkout you started while TikTok was allowed may still be reported to TikTok from our servers after you withdraw, and withdrawing does not delete events already sent to TikTok. This setting covers TikTok only and does not change Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel or other tools described above.

Data Retention

We retain order records as required by applicable law and for legitimate business purposes. Welcome offer fraud-prevention device records are deleted automatically 24 months after they are created. A hashed code saved with a checkout record is kept as long as that order record. You may ask us to delete these records using the contact details under Your Rights; we may keep information where we need it to complete an order, prevent fraud, or meet legal obligations.

Promotional Email

If you subscribe to our emails, or tick an optional email box when signing up or checking out, we record the wording shown and when you agreed. When we show a notice at account creation in the United States saying that creating an account adds you to our promotional emails, creating an account with a verified email address (by email code or with Google) adds that verified address to our account email list. Signing in with Google only verifies your identity; it is not by itself a request for marketing. We keep the notice version, the date and time, the sign-up method and the country used to decide which notice applied. Accounts created by text message only are not added. We send these emails through our email service provider.

Every promotional email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also unsubscribe by contacting us. An unsubscribe, bounce or complaint is kept on file, and signing up or signing in again does not undo it.

SMS / Text Messaging

If you opt in to our text message program, we collect your mobile number, the date and time of your consent, your IP address, and the exact consent language shown to you. Each message type — order and shipping notifications, and promotional or restock alerts — requires its own separate opt-in, and consent is not a condition of purchase.

Mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Mobile numbers are shared only with the messaging service provider strictly for the purpose of delivering messages you requested.

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your personal information by emailing support@omniresearch.org.
